So, to explore both in one fell swoop, and to travel between the two onboard the world’s most magnificent train is a genuine luxury odyssey the likes of which can’t help but enchant you.
Day 1
Arrive at Vienna’s West Bahnhof to board the Venice Simplon-Orient Express, with a helpful steward ready and waiting to show you to your cabin. After a mid-afternoon departure, settle in to your new home from home, explore the train or simply relax in your private quarters as stunning vistas pass by out the window. Next, dress for dinner and head to the Restaurant Car to indulge in four sumptuous courses of pure gastronomic heaven prepared by a team of highly skilled French chefs. Finally, either retire to your cabin, which has now been transformed into a cosy bedroom, or move on to the Bar Car to mingle with other passengers whilst enjoying fabulous drinks.
Day 2
Wake to find a continental breakfast ready to be served in your cabin by the steward, at a time to suit you. A little later, head to the Restaurant Car for a delicious bunch as the train draws ever closer to the Channel. Once across the water it’s time to say goodbye to the Venice Simplon-Orient Express and climb aboard the majestic Belmond British Pullman for the final leg of the journey to London, with a traditional afternoon tea accompanied by a glass of exquisite English sparkling wine served en route to the UK capital, arriving into Victoria station early evening.
