Itinerary

Day One
Arrive at Pretoria Davos Railway Station for a mid-morning departure, heading to Koster for the first overnight stop. Spend the remains of the day at leisure, with a delicious lunch and international standard dinner served whilst on board.

Day Two
Golfers will wake to enjoy breakfast and a mid-morning tee off at either Lost City or Gary Player Country Club. For those who opt out, an early-morning game drive will take place at Pilanesberg Game Reserve, before having the opportunity to explore the Lost City, and then enjoying lunch back at the club.

Dinner will be served on the train in the late evening as you meander towards Heidelberg.

Day Three
A day of leisure, with the train making its way to Estcourt via Ladysmith, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the region will all keep you occupied, with plenty of time to sit back and relax. Or, alternatively, head to the bar car to get acquainted with your fellow travellers.

Day Four
Following breakfast, tee-off will take place mid-morning at the Champagne Sports Resort. Meanwhile, non-golfers can learn about the historic battlefields with an expert guided tour, followed by lunch at Spionkop Lodge, and then an afternoon shopping.

Departing for Durban later that day, dinner will again be served in the stunning dining car, a work of art in itself, after which you are either free to retire or head to the bar car for a digestiv.

Day Five
Golfers will have an early-morning tee-off at Durban Country Club. Alternatively, non-golfers can disembark a little later for a city tour of Durban, taking in the many sights of this stunning South African city, before heading to the Country Club for lunch.
Later, dinner will be served on board as evening falls, followed by drinks or bed, depending on how you choose to spend the night.

Day Six
An early rise begins the day, with breakfast setting you up for a game drive through the magnificent Hluhluwe Game Reserve. Boarding the train again mid-morning for brunch, you’ll spend the rest of the day en route to Mpaka, Swaziland, with dinner served in the evening and incredible scenery to occupy the time in between.

Day Seven
Tee-off will begin at 7.30am at the Royal Swazi Sun, or for non-golfers there will be a game drive in the Mkhaya Reserve. A visit to Ngwenya Glass is also included, with lunch at the Guava Gallery, followed by a shopping trip.
The train will depart for Malelane in South Africa in South Africa early evening, with dinner served on board and time to relax before nightfall.

Day Eight
Your final opportunity to play golf on this African voyage begins at 8am, with tee-off at the Leopard Creek Golf Estate, on the banks of the Crocodile River. For those who don’t choose to play, there will be a last farewell game drive in the Kruger Park, lunch at Buhala Lodge, and then curio shopping in the afternoon.
Leaving for Witbank, the final overnight stop, the train will make its way through gorgeous vista after gorgeous vista, with dinner served as darkness falls.

Day Nine
Enjoy a breakfast at leisure whilst the journey continues towards Pretoria, arriving back at the Rovos Rail Station mid-morning.
