Itinerary

Day One
Depart from the Rovos Rail Station in Pretoria mid-morning, with lunch and dinner served on board as the train begins its epic journey. Traversing the area’s famed goldfields, the route heads towards Mafikeng and the Botswana border for customs formalities, with overnight spent on board.

Day Two
Spend the day as you see fit on board the train as it makes a way through Botswana towards Plumtree and Zimbabwe for border formalities. En route you will pass through some truly breathtaking landscapes, with plenty of opportunity to sit back and relax. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will all be served on board, with an overnight stop at Mpopoma.

Day Three
An early rise is followed by breakfast as the train leaves Mpopoma behind. Enjoy time relaxing on board, before lunch is served whilst on one of Africa’s longest stretches of straight railway line- spanning 114km. A mid-afternoon arrival at Kennedy leaves plenty of time for a game drive through The Hide, before climbing back aboard and preparing for dinner on the tracks, served mid-evening on the way to Thompson’s Junction.

Day Four
Another early-morning departure sees the train bound for Victoria Falls, with breakfast served until mid-morning. Arriving at the Falls, transfer from the Station to Stanley and Livingstone begins a two night stay in this iconic area of Africa, on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis including a game drive.

Day Five
Spend the day at leisure at the Stanley & Livingstone, with a number of activities available on request, including a game drive. Stay is again on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.

Day Six
Following breakfast, transfers will be waiting to take you to either Victoria Falls or Livingstone Airport for your flight home, or alternatively extend your stay by combing this itinerary with your own personal arrangements.
