Day One

Arrive independently at the iconic Raffles Hotel in Singapore, one of the worlds most famous residences, where you will have a complimentary overnight stay in a Courtyard Suite. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure, with everything from tropical gardens to skyscraper observation decks present in this marvelous city, and don’t forget to try the renowned Singapore Sling cocktail before retiring to bed.

Day Two

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and make the most of a private check in for the Eastern and Oriental Express at your hotel. Arriving at the train station mid-afternoon, a welcome reception will greet you as the journey begins. Later, sit down to an indulgent dinner in one of the magnificent dining carriages, perhaps finishing off the day with a nightcap in the intricately detailed Bar Car.

Day Three

Bali Komodo Flores After breakfast the train pulls into its first destination Kuala Lumpuras magnificent Railway Station, at which point you will have the choice between two city excursions. Climb back aboard the train once you have marveled at the city’s sights for a fabulous lunch, before a coach transfer takes you on to the Cameron Highlands, the highest point in the peninsula.

Enjoy an overnight stay at the Cameron Highlands Resort, including a casual dinner in these truly jaw-dropping surrounds.

Day Four

Begin today with a choice of tour either the famous Best of Highlands tea plantation, where you will have the opportunity to taste-test several varieties, or find yourself deep in the jungle surrounded by exotic flora and fauna on the Jim Thompson Trail.

Check out of your hotel in the afternoon and get ready for another sumptuous meal, this time at the Gonbei Restaurant, where the menu includes incredible Japanese and Western dishes. Finally, return to Ipoh Station and prepare for this evening’s formal dinner, with decadent drinks destined to keep you entertained into the night.

Day Five

Bali Komodo Flores Following breakfast, disembark the train for a transfer to the island of Penang, where a variety of excursions can be chosen from to make the most of your time in this enchanting place. After your selected tour ends, an elegant late morning tea will be served on the terrace of the Eastern & Oriental Hotel, before you head back to the Express for a relaxed afternoon, with lunch laid on, plenty of time to take time out and watch the passing scenery, before dinner after evening falls.

Day Six

This morning starts with a ride to the pier of Baan Huay Yang, a traditional fishing village that is impossible not to fall in love with. Next take the transfer to the island of Koh Chaan, an incredibly picturesque place surrounded by national parkland, boasting stunning cliffs and some of the most varied birdlife imaginable.

Once you have explored, a boat will ferry you to coastal Nashville for a beachside seafood barbecue, before passengers return to the train for a farewell cocktail reception and formal dinner, rounding off your last nigh aboard.

Day Seven

Arriving into Bangkok mid-morning, the Thai capitals many surprises are on your doorstep, meaning all there is to do now is head off and make up a new adventure in this incomparable city, at your own pace.
