Day 1
Arrive at Stockholm Central Station, where a steward will be ready to welcome you to the Venice Simplon-Orient Express. After settling in to your luxurious cabin, spend the afternoon watching the splendid Scandinavian scenery pass by as you leave the Swedish capital behind. Next, sit down to indulge in a fabulous four course meal, prepared by deftly skilled French chefs, before either retiring to your cabin- now a cosy bedroom- or heading to the Bar Car for after dinner drinks of the most elegant variety.

Day 2
Wake up to find yourself in Denmark, a country resplendent in beautiful vistas. Breakfast will be brought to your cabin at a time to suit you, and shortly after the train will pull into wonderful Copenhagen- one of the prettiest cities in Europe.

Upon arrival, you will be transferred to a luxury hotel for a two-night stay, with breakfast, affording you ample opportunity to get to grips with all this town has to offer.

Day 3
Breakfast in the hotel will be followed by an exclusive tour of Copenhagen, wherein you will learn more about Denmark’s prestigious capital and take in some of the major sights therein. Next, spend the afternoon exploring independently, with an abundance of parks, exceptional food markets, fantastic shopping and world class museums on your doorstep.
Once back in the hotel, rejoin the group and prepare for a sumptuous surprise, with an exclusive dinner awaiting at a secret venue in a town renowned for its progressive cuisine scene, before retiring for the evening to prepare for tomorrow’s departure.

Day 4
Enjoy breakfast in the hotel and a morning at leisure in the city. Returning to the hotel, a transfer will be waiting to take you back to the station to board the Venice Simplon-Orient Express. After departure, enjoy a succulent three course meal as you pull away from Copenhagen, followed by an afternoon relaxing in your cabin or whiling away the hours in the Bar Car as Scandinavia passes by the window.

An exquisite four course meal will then be served in one of the Restaurant Cars, which are as wonderfully detailed as the rest of the train. After eating, either return to find your cabin turned into a cosy bedroom, or head to the Bar Car for elegant post-dinner drinks.

Day 5
Breakfast will be served in your cabin at a time to suit you, affording you time to relax and take in some of Italy’s most spellbinding scenery before taking lunch in the Restaurant Car. Afternoon tea will be served later in your cabin as you approach the final destination, eventually pulling in to Venice Santa Lucia station in time to explore this iconic city of canals.
